"THE MELE IN MEXICO" - YOUR ALMOST FEBRUARY YFS GALACTICS UPDATE

The Minister has been burning countless hours on the phone with YFS Mexico and continues to be encouraged with each exchange.

In short, the Galactics are shaping up NOICE. Lots of wrangling and planning is being done as we speak but we know it's worth its weight in spirit gold. We are in fine hands. The rough per player number costs are almost finalized and we will be in touch with them within 2 weeks. We'd suggest getting your airline tickets in order if you have not already.

The laser dates you already know but we will repeat.

Thursday / 3/28 : 4PM Check In at Tijuana Cantina (TBD) Festivities and Pig Draw
Friday / 3/29 : PIG Games begin at 9:05AM
Saturday / 3/30 : Semi Final games begin at 9:05AM
Sunday / 3/31 : Finals begin at 9:05AM
Monday / 4/1 : Departure back to the US border is at 8:05AM-On the ish (Flights out of SD should not be scheduled earlier than 4pm)

Getting into Mexico:

Get to San Diego and make your way to the US side San Ysidro entrance to Mexico and walk across. Driving into Mexico will only complicate the plans set in place for all to take advantage of. Our Mexican YFS Guides will meet us on the other side of the San Ysidro entrance and take us to the TJ Cantina (TBD). And then eventually on to our hotel in Puerto Nuevo 30 miles south of Tijuana.

Other importante notes:

Everybody needs a passport.

You need only bring clothes, toiletries, getups and your game day kit for the 4 nights. So whatever that is for you: Bats, hats, seeds, spf, smelling salts, Zogs Sex Wax, whatever*.

*Except reefer. We suggest you leave it at home. It’s a stiff penalty if you were to be caught with it in Mexico. That's all we'll say.

Recapping what your your price per slugger covers: Transportation to and from US border and to and from the our daily fields, a Tijuana Cantina all to ourselves, oceanside hotel, bottomless tacos and iced as nuts Tecate Tallboys, waters and Mex Cokes for all 3 game days. A 5 star Mexican crew that sets ups and breaks down the fields you will be playing on. Countless fresh Penn nuts. EZ-Ups for shade. There will be music. There will be glory. There will be some seating available. But if you have a relatively easy and compact camping chair we suggest you bring it.

Our charity for the Galactics also been selected. Sluggers will be donating 100 pesos ($5.27) per HR to a local orphanage. These little scrappers can use all the help they can get. So if you hit big, pack a shitload of Abrahams.

Time to start getting your nuts hella excited sluggers. Not many people on earth are going to have a set of days like this. Why? Because it doesn't exist yet. The YFS is blessed to have so many (42 sluggers) who are up for making history. Glory for some will pay out in high spades. But even for those who don't go home a Champ. You're still in the winners circle because you're going.
